I didn't enjoy my online Literature 204 class very much and wouldn't recommend it to others. I felt like I was on my own as the professor did not answer emails consistently and felt like it was on "set it and forget it" mode. This course was also very time consuming as I spent more time doing work in this course than all my other courses combined. This made it extremely difficult for someone older like myself who has a job and a family. The midterm was also ridiculous as you're expected to remember all the details in the readings without using notes or the book (impossible). Despite me having a decent grade in the class at the time, I decided to drop it for mental health reasons as I was too stressed and was only getting 2-3 hours of sleep a night.
Obviously plays favorites. Very difficult to contact outside of class. Can have a sarcastic attitude at times. Not an enjoyable class.
Helps you out a lot. She is very clear in her projects and only wants the great for you. She has favorites, but if you do your work and participate she will add you to that list in no time. She loves to laugh and is very open to new interpretations. Overall, a fabulous prof. and one of those profs you know is going to be your friend by grad.
She is very accommodating... if you ask. Plays favorites A LOT, though. Class requires a lot of work but also has a lot of down time.
So far in my time at CU, Dr. Malkovich has been the most accommodating for me. I enjoy going to her class, because she's simple to get to know and she just wants the great for everyone in her class. In her papers, you do a great amount of work, but it's very simple to do. I recommend her to students that want a bit of a challenge, but still want a great grade!
Amberyl is puts a truly refreshing spin on English. She gives you free reign over your educational experience in her class while still guiding you. If you have a true interest in learning to express your thought, take her course. =] |
