Commuters are outraged

Over 50% of the students at Concord University are commuters. These commuters pay for not only their education but for their means of getting to Concord. As a mainly commuter university, Concord likes to show appreciation to those commuters by giving them special treats in their lounge. The commuters love that Concord does this for them and it makes them feel appreciated and like they matter to the school.  This is why the commuters were not only shocked but outraged when they found out that campus residing students were coming into their lounge and taking these special treats that Concord leaves them. 

The commuters would like for the campus residing students to leave what is not theirs alone. An anonymous commuter said that she feels like “the commuter lounge is my only place on campus just for me, while the campus residing students have their own rooms and countless lounges on campus.” She is hurt and annoyed that the campus residing students think that it is okay for them to take things that aren't theirs. 

The campus residing students feel like they are just as privileged to these special treats as the commuters are. A campus resident says, “I don't see why the commuters are so upset about this when they should be upset about the bad parking situation.” 

Hopefully the commuters will forgive the campus residing students from taking their special treats. The campus residing students should be grateful of the commuter students and let them have their special spot on campus. Concord might want to think of another way to give back to the commuters so that their treats aren't seized by the residing students.
