Pottery Time Comes to Princeton
A new business has come to Princeton, West Virginia, and it could be a huge hangout place for busy college students who need a break.
With finals coming near, this is the place to go and relax. Pottery Time is a place to go to with your friends or even on a date night. For most students who wanted to paint pottery, they would have had to travel to Beckley to the Pottery Place. But now, you just need to drive five minutes down the road to create beautiful and unique creations.
Pottery Time is owned by Sharon Ratliff. “We are excited to be opening Pottery Time in Princeton! We have lots of different items to choose from to paint also!” When asked of Ms. Ratliff why she wanted to open her own business she got excited to answer. “I wanted to open Pottery Time because honestly I was tired of driving all the way to Beckley to paint pottery and I knew many others who felt the same as I did. I wanted to open up a business where everyone could come in and have a good time with friends.” That’s how Pottery Time was born.
Pottery Time works just like Pottery Place does in Beckley. When you go in, you choose from all the different pottery selections. They have many different items to choose from. Pottery Time has all kinds of dishware to paint like bowls, plates, and mugs. They also have everything seasonal, including Christmas ornaments. Pottery Time also has unique items such as water and food bowls for your pet at home. The brand new location is very kid friendly too, with items such as piggy banks for them to paint as well. After you choose your piece and paint it, you initial it and the employees will handle it from there. They put it in the kiln and then you come back to pick it up later.
What sets Pottery Time apart from Pottery Place, is that they have something special every month. “We run different specials each month to attract our customers. We want you to be able to come in and paint and have a good time with an affordable price” said Ratliff. Pottery Time will also be holding Pottery and Wine Night once a month as well. This is a night where you can bring your own wine, and paint and have a good time. Pottery Time also hosts many different events like birthday parties, bachelorette parties, and any other event you would like to be held.
Pottery Time is located in Princeton right beside Trophies and More. They are open Monday through Friday 11 AM to 9 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday 12 PM to 6 PM. For more information you can call Pottery Time at 304-487-2010, or visit them on Facebook.
