Student Life

This Week in CU History

The 1878 catalog for Concord State Normal School lists expenses as follows:

Normal Department per year – $20.00

Classical Department per year – $26.00

All students pay an incidental fee of one dollar per session or faction thereof.

Boarding, lodging, fuel and washing can be had in the village at seven dollars per month, and where washing is not done, at six dollars per month.

A sufficient number of text-books is on hand to answer the needs of such students as may attend the school for the ensuing year under appointments made and to be made by county superintendents.
